I finally had to ask him to give me service.** **He was painfully slow as the line built up behind us. He said * of my credit cards were declined even though I have used all the cards recently in Saudi. It took forever to get the car.** **He blocked a ****AED deposit even though the rental agreement showed ****AED and was very argumentative when questioned about it.** **When examining the car for damage, he wouldn't let me write down additional scratches. I had to grab the damage report from him and write the additional scratches I found. He kept saying, wash the car first and then come back and report scratches.** **Once in the car, after every stop when I I had to keep pushing on the accelerator until finally the car would jump forward* it wouldn't accelerate smoothly.** **Once on the highway headed to downtown Dubai, the low tire pressure warning came on while I was on a * lane highway. I had to search out an air pump in an unknown town and found that every tire was low on air. I filled every tire evenly to **psig but the warning light never went off the whole * days.** **Two days later in Dubai, we were trying to exit a parking garage and there was a delay because of traffic so I was stopped on the incline out of the garage.** **The automatic transmission let the car slide backwards down the slope and I almost hit a very expensive car behind. The guy honked and then came out of his car to yell at me that I almost hit his car.**For several minutes on the slope waiting for traffic to clear I had to hold the brake to keep from rolling backward.** **When I was finally able to exit the garage when traffic cleared, I was pulling up the slope and a warning went off that the transmission was too hot and I needed to pull over. This was in the busiest portion of Dubai during the holiday evening and there was of course no place to pull over.** **When we arrived to drop off the car, there was no sign indicating the National drop off so I went past and got stuck at the parking exit gate. It wouldn't open so I could circle around because it said I hadn't pay. Many cars behind were honking and I had to back up but there was no way to get back to the National dropoff.** **The National guy finally came after we called and I was telling him about all our problems. He was trying to blame everything on me and was most discourteous, the same as the National rep when we rented the car.** **I have rented vehicles all over the world but never have a experienced so many problems with a vehicle and the staff. My wife is traumatized by the experience of driving in a new country in the traffic and wondering if this car is safe.
